Shorts 2: Resistance through Storytelling (15)

Part of Manipulate Festival 2024, the animated shorts programme celebrates extraordinary animation from around the globe, showcasing a dizzying range of styles, techniques, genres and ideas. The programme is co-curated with guest creatives, each looking at animation from different social and artistic perspectives.

Our second shorts programme is curated by Manipulate Arts Associate Programmer Natasha Thembiso Ruwona, a writer, artist and researcher based between London and Scotland. The programme takes the themes of social justice and protest as its starting point. Showcasing an array of animation styles, the selected films explore various modes of storytelling through personal and collective proclamations.
