Tramsurfer, Spinney & Vicious

On 13th July, three emerging Edinburgh groups will take over Summerhall’s brand-new gig venue Old Lab. Tramsurfer are an erratic and ecstatic power funk trio that found their sophisticated, high-octane sound in the bunkers of Edinburgh’s Allison House music school - expect Jazz-punk fusion with an ironic twist. Sometimes sad, sometimes angry, always loud - Spinney have been forming their fuzzy, shoegaze-adjacent sound at art exhibitions and alternative venues in Edinburgh and recently supported rising stars Bar Italia. Fresh from an outstanding debut EP Look Alive recorded at Edinburgh’s Tonegarden studios, Vicious have emotive 90s grunge in their veins. They recently supported Lion on Tiger at Sneaky Petes.
