Mediterraneo and Nothing Ever Happens Here presents Carnevale 2023, a huge masquerade featuring Italian Pizzica, Brazilian Jazz and Moroccan Gnawa. A night of live music and dance to shake the winter blues away in style.

We have reached 10 years of Carnevale at Summerhall, Mediterraneo’s own celebration of madness and mischief, of the world turned upside down. It is that time of the year when the Fool rules the town, Harlequin the servant turns master, and every mask hides a trick, a prank, a joke.

This is the time to go wild. The time to don your best costume and disguise of choice. The time to shine your dancing shoes and dance the madness away...

Mediterraneo is a masquerade: tickets are £15 (including a free mask) - or if you bring your own mask, tickets are only £14.
