The Sparks Brothers (15) - screening
Director Edgard Wright’s documentary is a musical odyssey spanning five weird and wonderful decades with brothers Ron and Russell Mael, celebrating the inspiring legacy of Sparks – your favourite band’s favourite band.
Featuring interviews with celebrity fans including, Beck, Jack Antonoff, Jane Wiedlin, Jason Schwartzman and Neil Gaiman, The Sparks Brothers asks the question ‘how can one rock band be successful, underrated, hugely influential, and criminally overlooked all at the same time?’
Sparks fans (and recent converts) should keep an eye out for Annette, a new musical drama from director Leos Carax with screenplay and music from Sparks, screening at Summerhall on 8th + 9th October.
